Job Description:

An opportunity exists for a physically fit, versatile handy person to join our afternoon shift team at our Depot located in St Marys. The successful applicant must be an all-rounder willing to assist in ensuring the grounds and maintenance of the Depot are of a high standard.

Job Responsibility:

Container Unpacking
Grounds Keeping
Use of the Yard Sweeper
Rubbish removal
Pressure cleaning and hosing
Undertake routine repairs, cleaning and maintenance of the facilities
General skill set for maintenance work required
Manual handling of freight
General property maintenance
Following safe operating procedures and complying with company policy

Requirements:

Forklift Licence (highly desirable)
Experience in Transport and Logistics is highly regarded
Be relatively fit as manual handling is required
Honest, reliable, prompt and punctual
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Experience in general maintenance type roles – Trades background will be highly regarded
Ability to read and write and understand units of measure
Have your own car licence, suitable vehicle and tools
WH&S White card – preferable
Basic administration skills
Be flexible and accept changes to days of work and be available to work additional days if required
Have a commitment to safe work practices

Certificate III in Cleaning Operations or equivalent experience in commercial cleaning
