As a General Hand, you’ll play an important role in keeping our sites running smoothly. From site preparation to general maintenance, you’ll be hands-on out in the field supporting the wider team across a variety of tasks. This is a casual role with a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in a job well done, and values safety above all.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting site preparation, including hazard identification and setting up safe work areas
  • Carrying out general labouring tasks such as trench digging, weed control, and erosion control
  • Assisting with equipment handling and transport of materials
  • Helping maintain site cleanliness and overall tidiness
  • Ensuring tools, equipment, and PPE are well maintained and fit for purpose
  • Working closely with the team to meet operational and customer requirements
  • Upholding strong health, safety, and environmental standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in general laboring or outdoor work
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
  • Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks including lifting, digging, and manual work
  • Good literacy skills (able to read plans and follow instructions)
  • A reliable and safety-focused mindset
  • Full Class 1 driver licence
  • A proven commitment to safety
