Job Responsibility

  • Supervise and manage construction works for the Project team
  • To ensure the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across all projects, adhering to MGroup Highways health and safety policy/ environmental policy and actively supporting the It Starts With Me culture
  • Accept permits and include in the work pack / issue to working party
  • Carry out Setting To Work of relevant operatives, and sub-contractors
  • Deliver and record Daily Activity Briefs/Pre-Job Briefs, End of shift debriefs & Toolbox Talks

Requirements

  • A good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision including earthworks, drainage, structures and highways
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Gold card
  • Computer literate, with a basic understanding of Microsoft word / excel and outlook
  • Experience of management of operational teams

  • Monitor and control, whenever necessary, ore processing parameters to ensure product quality, optimize mill efficiency, and troubleshoot any process issues, implementing corrective actions as required
  • Implement best practices to minimize the environmental impact of milling operations. Participate in environmental monitoring and ensure compliance with environmental reporting standards
  • Assist in developing and managing the milling department's budget. Provide input on cost estimation, control measures, and identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Maintain accurate records of milling activities, equipment performance, and maintenance. Generate reports on production performance, deviations from schedules, and corrective actions
  • Develop, review, and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for milling-related incidents. Ensure all personnel are trained in emergency protocols
