Job Responsibility

Supervise and manage construction works for the Project team
Suggest suitable construction methods
Carryout all briefing and putting operatives to work, ensuring the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards
Build a good relationship with the client to meet their expectations
Coach and mentor staff and operatives, supervise and put to work site yardmen
Ensure quality procedures and compliance and notify site team of issues on site and suggestions of how to overcome them

Previous experience working for Tier 1 contractors is essential
Strong background delivering civil engineering, water, utilities, or heavy civils projects

Supporting the Site Agent with daily delivery, progress reporting, and programme updates
Working to 4-week lookahead schedules and the main construction programme
Maintaining accurate site records including diaries, allocations, inspections, and online check sheets (LOLER, PUWER, Temporary Works etc.)
Supervising key civil engineering activities including working around live buried services, temporary works operations, excavations, reinforced concrete works, shallow and deep drainage
Working closely with the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to ensure temporary works requirements are identified, planned, and implemented
Carrying out site inspections, leading toolbox talks, and reinforcing strong HSEQ and wellbeing standards
Managing and motivating site teams to maintain a positive working environment with all stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with company procedures, permits, quality standards, and safety requirements
