General Foreman (Night Shift)

• Directs and coordinates all craft and subcontractor activities on night shift
• Develops, reviews, and maintains construction plans, schedules, budgets and other essential records
• Can read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and other technical guidance documentation
• Ensures material and labor resources necessary to accomplish tasks are readily available
• Maintains work schedules
• works overtime as needed to minimize project delay
• Meets with other members of ship management to coordinate construction efforts
• Optimizes shipyard activities to produce a high-quality work product consistent with Company standards
• Trains and motivates workforce to result in high levels of productivity
• Addresses daily personnel, equipment and facility issues
• develops viable solutions and remedial actions
• Delegates work as required to maintain level workloads
• Meets with customers to address their needs
• Must follow all Company policies and procedures, including those relative to employee safety, corporate environmental policy, and the principles of our quality system, ISO-9000
• Other duties assigned or requested by Management
• Provides nightly reports
• Reports to work daily and on time
• Submits time for night shift personnel

Minimum of 7 years shipbuilding or 5 years of continuous Company experience in a similar position preferred
