Job Description

Are you a qualified teacher who loves the classroom but wants to leave the planning and marking behind? We are looking for a General Cover Teacher to support our partner secondary schools in Tamworth. This is the perfect role for someone who can walk into any classroom, command attention, and deliver a high-quality lesson across any subject.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver: Follow the set work left by the permanent teacher, ensuring students understand and complete the tasks
  • Manage: Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with the school's policy
  • Support: Offer 1:1 or group assistance to students who need extra help with the set work
  • Liaise: Leave a clear handover note for the returning teacher so they know exactly how the students progressed
