We are seeking adaptable and confident Qualified Teachers (QTS) or experienced Cover Supervisors for general cover roles across our partner Secondary Schools. This is the ultimate role for educators who love the variety of teaching without the heavy burden of planning, marking, and data tracking. Whether you're a Science specialist happy to cover Drama, or an English expert ready to lead a PE theory session, your mission is to ensure that no learning time is lost.
Job Responsibility:
Adaptive Delivery: Follow the set lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring students understand the tasks and remain on track with their learning objectives
Instant Rapport: Walk into a new classroom and quickly establish a positive, respectful atmosphere using strong presence and professional authority
Positive Climate Control: Implement the school's behaviour policy consistently, ensuring a calm and productive environment where all students feel safe to work
Subject Versatility: Show confidence across the curriculum
while you aren't expected to be an expert in every subject, you'll use your teaching skills to facilitate learning in everything from Maths to Art
Supportive Presence: Assist students with their work, answering questions and providing the encouragement they need to complete their set tasks
Feedback Loop: Leave clear, concise notes for the returning teacher regarding student progress, behaviour, and any work completed
Requirements:
QTS is preferred, but we also welcome highly experienced Cover Supervisors with a proven track record in UK secondary schools
