Law degree from ABA accredited law school
Licensed to practice in Minnesota or an active member in good standing with a state bar with the ability to be admitted in Minnesota within six months of hiring

Job Responsibility

Provide high quality legal services on a timely and cost-efficient basis
Provide comprehensive legal support in the investment space for a large life insurance company and its investment management subsidiary, including reviewing, negotiating, and drafting investment related agreements
Advise on legal and regulatory requirements, corporate policies and procedures, best practices, and strategies for managing risk as part of a multi-national organization
Analyze business plans and participate in project teams and corporate initiatives to identify legal risks, and advise clients on findings and mitigation strategies
Offer legal support to the investment governance, risk, and compliance team, by advising on laws, regulations, and corporate policies applicable to institutional investment advisers and insurance company investors
Assist with corporate governance and operational matters
Prepare legal memoranda, legal agreements, regulatory filings, and other documents
