Job Description

Compass Associates are working with a well-established care organisation that is opening a brand-new elderly care service in Cornwall, due to open in January next year. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a commissioning project from the ground up, with the support of an experienced senior leadership team. This role is for an experienced Commissioning General Manager to take full responsibility for the setup, launch and day-to-day leadership of the service. You will play a key role in preparing the home for opening, including recruitment, systems implementation, regulatory readiness and culture-building, before transitioning into full operational management post-opening.

Requirements

  • Proven experience commissioning or opening an elderly care home
  • Previous experience as a Home Manager or General Manager within elderly care

  • Ability to manage budgets, resources and pre-opening costs
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Flexible and resilient approach during the commissioning phase
  • Experience working closely with regulatory bodies during registration
  • Knowledge of Person Centred Software (PCS)
