Requirements

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working as a General Technician
Hold a valid driver’s license
Own professional grade tools
Experience with mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience specific to transmission rebuilding
Ability to communicate solutions to others
Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment

Job Responsibility

Diagnose and repair automotive transmission systems to specifications
Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals
Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems
Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
Continuously learns new technical information and techniques
Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
Maintains an organized service department

Requirements

4 years’ experience as a mechanic
Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs with general supervision
Excellent judgment and discretion
ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress
Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented
Remain calm and professional in stressful situations
Detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude
