Job Description

As a Harbinger -Team Lead, you will be responsible for guiding a team toward achieving operational goals while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. You will serve as the primary point of contact for team members for your dedicated zone and provide the necessary support to ensure zonal goals are met.

Job Responsibility

  • Team Leadership: Direct daily activities, provide clear goals (SQDC) and regular feedback to team members to ensure alignment with company objectives as communicated by the Supervisor/Manager
  • Resource Allocation: Oversee zonal allocation, ensure you have proper people allocations in each work station as needed and escalate any gaps to the Supervisor. Support down to the build operator level as needed based on resource availability
  • Mentorship and Development: Support the Supervisor on Identifying training needs and provide coaching to support the professional growth and skill development of each team member
  • Performance Monitoring: Track team performance against key metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between the team and management, ensuring transparent communication regarding progress, challenges, and achievements of your allocated area
  • Continuous Improvement Culture: View the production line as a living system
  • one that requires awareness, iteration, and effort to improve and drive improvements over time
  • Understand the product and production fundamentals (Takt, operator and equipment cycle time, Downtime tracking, escalation, safety and quality issue escalation protocol, waste elimination and continuous Improvement)
  • Meet your zonal objectives as set forth by Area leadership: Run 5 mins Start of shift huddle (output, goals, safety issues, 5S)
  • Respond and Escalate issues per criticality to the supervisor immediately

Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher
  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant field (General Assembly/EV preferred)
  • Driven Individual with good understanding of vehicle assembly and ability to learn and train operations team in multiple build stations and cells
  • Proven leadership or prior team lead/supervisory experience (preferably 1+ years)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Record of repeated strong performance and positive peer feedback
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
