Job Description

A hands-on assembly role based in Durham, North Carolina. The General Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing subassemblies for the Blister production line, including XF and Ultra machines. The role follows Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) to ensure products are built safely, accurately, and to quality standards. Daily work assignments and priorities are directed by the Team Lead. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with 2 open positions - a great pathway to a permanent role.

Job Responsibility

  • Follow MPIs to assemble and test mechanical and electrical subassemblies
  • Route wires and perform wire preparation including stripping wires and installing pins and ferrules
  • Use hand and measuring tools such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, calipers, polarity checkers, and presses
  • Perform quality checks and basic testing of completed assemblies
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
  • Complete assigned tasks according to production schedules and priorities set by the Team Lead
  • Work overtime as needed to support production requirements

Requirements

  • 0–5 years of experience
  • manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
  • Experience with hand tools and mechanical aptitude is a plus
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Steel toe or composite shoes required on-site
