Job Description:

Our client, a well-known developer in Concord, is looking for a highly motivated General Accountant to join their team. Supporting the core accounting functions of the business while also supplementing the efforts of the project accounting team. If you are interested in joining a firm that specializes in large-scale residential projects in the Greater Toronto Area with a clear path for growth message me today.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing and posting journal entries
Preparing trail balances
Reconciliations of credit card statements, bank accounts, intercompany accounts
Preparing and Filing HST
Assisting with financial statement prep

Requirements:

Minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including month-end activities
Experience using mid to large ERP
Previous experience in construction/engineering is an asset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Nice to have:

Previous experience in construction/engineering
Any project accounting or work-in-progress billings
