Job Description:

The Applications Development Technology Senior Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. As a GenAI Data Scientist, you will join a team dedicated to delivering advanced technology products to internal stakeholders across Citi’s global business lines. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role where your contribution will directly influence how innovative AI solutions are designed, built, and deployed globally.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct in-depth research and experimentation with various AI/ML algorithms, frameworks, and technologies to identify the most suitable solutions
design, develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models for tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, NLP, computer vision, and time series analysis
design and develop agentic AI system
contribute to prompt engineering and development of AI-powered workflows
build and maintain robust and scalable AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and deployment
collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure the availability and quality of data required for AI/ML projects
work with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical AI/ML solutions
deploy and monitor AI/ML models in production environments, ensuring their performance, reliability, and scalability
continuously evaluate and improve existing AI/ML models and systems
stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML research, tools, and techniques
document AI/ML models, algorithms, and processes
communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
contribute to the development of the company's AI strategy and roadmap
mentor junior AI/ML team members.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience with at least one major machine learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning (e.g., LoRA, QLoRA)
exposure to RAG systems and basic knowledge of hybrid search techniques
understanding model deployment and containerization (Docker)
proficiency in Python for AI development, data preprocessing, and scripting
experience with generative AI tools (LangChain, Hugging Face, LlamaIndex) is a plus
understanding of version control systems (Git)
awareness of AI compliance, data privacy, and responsible AI principles
experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., OpenShift, AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services
experience with MLOps practices and tools for automating and managing the AI/ML lifecycle
familiarity with database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or publications in relevant conferences or journals.

Nice to have:

Experience with generative AI tools (LangChain, Hugging Face, LlamaIndex)
contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or publications in relevant conferences or journals.
