Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable GCSE Maths specialists to join a group of FE colleges across West Yorkshire from September 2026. A range of full‑time and part‑time positions are available, offering flexibility for experienced lecturers and those seeking to expand their teaching portfolio. You will support learners resitting GCSE Maths or developing essential numeracy skills required for progression into further study, apprenticeships or employment.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver structured and engaging GCSE Maths lessons tailored to learners with varied abilities and confidence levels
  • Provide targeted intervention, constructive feedback and small‑group support to help students build confidence and achieve their goals
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to departmental achievement targets across multiple campuses
  • Work closely with Maths teams to refine schemes of work, share best practice and enhance learner experience
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and college policies are upheld at all times

Requirements

  • Degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline
  • PGCE, QTS, QTLS or significant FE teaching experience
  • Experience teaching GCSE Maths, particularly resit cohorts, is highly desirable
  • Strong ability to motivate learners and deliver clear, accessible mathematical explanations
