Job Responsibility
Delivering engaging and accessible GCSE English lessons to small groups of learners
Supporting pupils working below age-related expectations through tailored and differentiated teaching
Encouraging confidence in reading, writing, speaking and listening
Using creative and practical approaches to engage students who may be disengaged from education
Building strong, trusting relationships to support emotional wellbeing and engagement
Using trauma-informed and relational approaches to manage behaviour and support learning
Monitoring progress and contributing to personalised learning plans
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in English (GCSE)
Experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH or in alternative provision (desirable)
A creative, flexible and student-centred teaching style
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for making a difference to young people's lives
