Job Description:

Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is part of the wider Education team within Children’s Services. Our mission is to provide inclusive, high‑quality learning opportunities that promote well‑being, build confidence, and inspire people living or working in Buckinghamshire to achieve their full potential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support adult learners to achieve GCSE English or Functional Skills English (Level 1 and Level 2)
  • Deliver at least two evening classes online, as well as daytime, centre-based sessions
  • Teach across two centres (High Wycombe and Aylesbury)
  • Provide as needed, pastoral support and high-quality information, advice and guidance (IAG), helping learners overcome personal and educational barriers, build confidence, and maintain positive engagement and progression throughout their studies

Requirements:

  • A subject specialism qualification in English (Level 4 or Level 5)
  • A teaching qualification such as DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent
  • Access to a car is essential
