Job Description:

Uber is seeking a seasoned GBS Operations Manager to join the GBS leadership team within the CAO organization. This role is based in Hyderabad or Bangalore, India, and plays a critical part in shaping and advancing Uber's global GBS strategy. As an experienced GBS manager, you will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution—driving long-term roadmap planning while ensuring best-in-class delivery across Finance Operations (PTP, OTC, RTR, FP&A, Tax, etc.). You will be responsible for evolving the GBS operating model to deliver measurable business value through process excellence, intelligent automation, and scalable global solutions. The role requires deep expertise in GBS/GCC environments, with a strong focus on transformation, governance, and value realization. You will partner closely with Global Process Owners and Finance leadership to standardize and optimize processes, embed robust policies and controls, and establish data-driven performance frameworks across SLAs, KPIs, and outcomes. In addition, you will lead strategic engagement with outsourced partners to ensure seamless service delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation. A key expectation from this role is to proactively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve stakeholder experience, while aligning GBS capabilities with the evolving needs of a technology-driven, AI-enabled Finance organization. This role reports to the GBS Operations Lead and requires to balance operational rigor with forward-looking strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and continuously elevate the impact and relevance of GBS within Uber.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and execute the GBS strategy and roadmap aligned with Finance priorities
  • Lead global service delivery across P2P, OTC, RTR, Sourcing, and Tax, ensuring consistent SLA and KPI performance
  • Drive operational excellence through process standardization, governance, and best practices
  • Champion automation, AI adoption, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Influence senior stakeholders, manage vendor partnerships, and drive value creation
  • Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in Finance Operations, preferably in GBS/GCC or outsourced models
  • Proven track record in global service delivery and transformation initiatives
  • Deep understanding of Finance processes, controls, compliance, and risk management

Nice to have:

  • Strong experience with automation, AI, and data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and work across global teams
  • People leadership experience and a bias for action in fast-paced environments
