A candidate for this position must have a bachelor’s degree and/or three to years of related experience
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Instructors Certification
American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED Instructors Certification

Job Responsibility

Planning, designing, organizing and scheduling a continuing program of athletic recreational activities for all ages youth through adult
Supervising yearly staff of activity coordinators and seasonal staff of waterfront directors, beach supervisors, lifeguards, gate attendants, tennis instructors, playground counselors and parking enforcement officers
Training of staff to meet required certifications for job description ie. Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED, First Aid etc
Scheduling and conducting interviews for year round and seasonal job openings and making recommendations to the Recreation Director
Maintaining records of certification on file
Responsible for staff disciplinary measures as well as decision making pertaining to rules and regulation seasonal violations associated with fines and/or penalties

Requirements

Place packs of finished goods into trays and stack them onto pallets
Wrap pallets securely for storage or transport
Move completed pallets from the end of the production line to the finished goods area
Direct vehicles to appropriate parking spaces
Ensure only authorised Avara employees park in designated car parks
Lock and secure the gate when leaving to attend the main building
Sign security devices in and out as required
Monitor the main car park for vehicles without passes and redirect them to the correct area
Operate across three designated car park points during the shift
Must not own any Avian Pets or Poultry

Physically fit and comfortable with manual work, outdoor environments, and confined spaces
Willing to travel, stay away overnight when required, and work weekends when required
Able to pass a safety-critical medical and face fit test (clean-shaven required for P3 mask)
Must be British-born (due to site clearance requirements)
Must have no criminal convictions (security clearance required)

Install, service and repair physical security equipment such as gates, barriers, blockers and turnstiles
Attend breakdowns and perform fault-finding and diagnostics
Take part in a 1-in-5 (moving to 1-in-6) on-call rota, with an average of 3 callouts per week
Complete electronic job sheets using a tablet or smartphone
Deliver excellent customer service on site and communicate clearly with clients
Travel across the South East and occasionally further afield, including overnight stays where required

Job Responsibility

Under limited supervision, flags traffic and sets up traffic control devices
Operates single and tandem-axle trucks, equipped with an auger, aerial lift equipment, or equipped with plows, wing plow, sander, and chemical systems to remove snow and ice from roadway surface
Responsible for the rehabilitation of roadway surfaces and traffic control devices such as signs and highway striping
Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and facilities, including water and wastewater treatment
Install and maintain weather stations, snow-supporting structures, and automated road closure gates
Make daily weather and snowpack observations
Attends and completes all required training in order to obtain/maintain required certifications, perform inspections, and learn new skills
