Deliver high‑quality maintenance and servicing across housing association properties. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, safety checks, diagnostics, and ensuring residents receive a professional, respectful service experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering quality service. You’ll be working across a variety of environments and must be comfortable adapting to different settings and client needs.
Job Responsibility:
Routine servicing of mechanical, electrical, heating, or building systems across housing association properties
Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
Carry out compliance checks (e.g., gas safety, electrical testing, equipment inspections) in line with regulatory standards
Maintain accurate service records and update digital job systems in real time
Provide clear communication to residents, housing officers, and internal teams
Identify potential risks or future maintenance needs and report them promptly
Ensuring high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet the required quality standards
Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Records, are adhered to during your daily work
comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures so relevant parts are available to fulfil job requirements
Willingness to work OOH/on call rota basis
Requirements:
Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
Valid UK driving licence (essential)
Previous practical experience in gas servicing across domestic environments
Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants
