Job Description

We are a boutique-sized diversified downstream energy company with a range of assets, including petroleum refining and logistics. Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day. Our logistics business currently owns and operates 720 miles of crude and product pipelines, a 600-mile crude oil gathering system, and storage tanks and terminals.

Job Responsibility

  • Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing gas plant operation
  • Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications
  • Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • This role will have mandatory on-call obligations
  • Required to follow all safety and environmental regulations and procedures
  • Accountable for the one call operations, tank farm operations, condensate stabilization, pigging operations, glycol/dehydration operations, and gas compression
  • Analyzes specifications and controls continuous operation process units
  • Reads, operating logs, test results of amine samples, and laboratory recommendations to determine changes in equipment controls required to optimize processing
  • Takes readings within gas plant
  • Monitors and operates specialized equipment making adjustments as needed/authorized
  • Required to meet certification and pass both a written and skills test to move up levels within the Operator II role (May be required to complete certification and level progression in a specified timeframe)
  • Experienced Operators may be required to train/mentor Operator Trainees or entry level operators
  • Prepares equipment for maintenance and obtain work permits for maintenance, write up work orders so maintenance can be performed on specific equipment including LOTO
  • Must successfully complete refresher training as required
  • Must complete a detailed shift handover for next shift change

  • Perform visual inspection of equipment to ensure proper operation

  • Adjust firing controls for correct air fuel mixture, fuel feeds, and drafts for best combustion efficiency
