Job Description

Our client, a renowned leader in the energy and utility sector, is in search of a Gas Designer with expertise in low/medium pressure. They are looking for a professional who can prepare technical gas designs and ensure that work is in alignment with industry standards, legislation, and current policies.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing technical gas designs and quotations in accordance with codes of practice, legislation, and current policies and procedures
  • Ensuring work is accurate to achieve projected profit margins and maintaining records to satisfy customers and legal requirements
  • Keeping personal competence records up to date
  • Preparing reports, providing support, and guiding operational teams, management, and customers on designs, quotations, sales, safety, and technical matters
  • Assisting with the control of various commercial projects to meet time scales and projected profits
  • Liaising with customers and representatives of other professional organisations such as architects and highway authorities as necessary
  • Guiding and advising a small team of administrative support
  • Carrying out site visits where appropriate
  • Producing work to the required quality and standard within defined performance criteria and productivity measures

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Gas Designer, preferably with specialisation in low/medium pressure
  • A solid understanding of industry codes of practice, legislation, and policies
  • Strong communication and liaison skills
  • Ability to guide and support a small administrative team
  • Willingness to carry out site visits as needed
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and achieving set performance targets
