Gardener

• Maintaining and cultivating outdoor spaces, including grassed areas, flower beds, hedges, shrubs, and borders across the village grounds and residents’ personal outdoor areas
• Carrying out landscaping duties, including maintaining pathways, steps, and drainage systems to ensure safe and accessible grounds
• Clearing leaves and debris around the site using machinery and manual methods
• Performing minor repairs and maintenance around the estate, including fences, gates, and garden structures
• Assisting with guttering and gully clearance
• Participating in statutory testing and routine inspections
• Providing support and advice to residents on gardening or horticultural queries
• Contributing to the overall upkeep and aesthetic of the village
• Working collaboratively with the wider team

• Proven experience in grounds care and maintenance, including lawns, gardens, and outdoor communal spaces
• Strong knowledge of plants, shrubs, and horticultural practices, with an understanding of seasonal care and maintenance
• Competent in working safely, following Health and Safety regulations and COSHH guidelines
• Horticultural qualifications are desirable but not essential
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards, ensuring both communal and residents’ personal outdoor spaces are well-kept and attractive
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills to interact with residents and colleagues
