Job Description:

Cheltenham College Preparatory School seeks to appoint a number of Gap Students for a fixed period of one year. The role would be ideal for sixth-form/college leavers who are considering future careers in education and are keen to gain all-round experience of day-to-day school and boarding life.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing support and supervision
  • Assisting in Games, PE, Art, D&T and Pre-Prep lessons
  • Helping with the care of the boarders (particularly during mornings, evenings and weekends)
  • Residing in school accommodation

Requirements:

  • Sixth-form/college leavers considering future careers in education
  • Energetic
  • High levels of integrity, responsibility and organisation skills
  • Ability to work supportively and encouragingly with pupils
  • Prepared to join a hard-working team
  • Willing to live in boarding provision

  • Shares information as needed to inform teachers' support of student's academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth
  • Performs basic technical support functions to enroll students in courses, set up parent accounts, and solve general technical problems or connect students to appropriate personnel for resolution
