The Game Manager in the New Games team is responsible for identifying, shaping, and validating new game opportunities from early concept to scalable evergreen experiences. This role initially focuses on early stage development, but can evolve if the game starts getting traction. The Game Manager owns the game vision, leads a small cross-functional team, and ensures delivery aligned with Madbox’s production mindset and editorial guidelines.
Job Responsibility:
Define and maintain a clear game vision aligned with Madbox editorial guidelines
Translate ideas into testable concepts and playable prototypes
Communicate the game vision clearly to the team and key stakeholders
Make decisions regarding the game’s direction, priorities, and scope
Balance creative goals with business objectives
Take accountability for investment decisions and opportunity validation
Lead and manage a small cross-functional team in early development stages
Ensure strong team dynamics and effective collaboration
Support team performance and individual development
Act as the main point of contact and reference for the project across the company
Represent the project internally and ensure alignment with stakeholders
Define short and mid-term roadmaps to validate key assumptions
Drive execution using both qualitative and quantitative insights
Coordinate closely with all crafts to ensure efficient delivery
Define and drive team OKRs aligned with company objectives
Ensure timely delivery of learnings, prototypes, and milestones
Requirements:
At least 5–6 years of experience in mobile game development
Experience in early stage development, prototyping, or new games is a strong asset
Background in hypercasual or fast iteration environments is a plus
Open to more junior profiles with strong potential and learning capacity
Strong understanding of game design fundamentals and player experience
Ability to identify promising game ideas and assess early potential
Solid decision-making skills in uncertain and fast-moving environments
Strong ownership mindset and accountability
Ability to lead small teams with autonomy
Comfortable working across design, production, and product disciplines
Clear communication and stakeholder management skills
