Madbox is a fast-growing mobile gaming company. We are looking for a Game Developer to join one of our established project teams, working on a game approaching an important release milestone. You'll play an important role in the development, refinement, and delivery of high-quality features and systems. The project is currently in a critical phase, with challenges around stability, performance, and launch readiness, and you’ll have a direct impact on the final product and its future evolution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implement new systems that are easily maintainable and scalable to support the growth of the game
  • Be a team player, share feedback and support your peers, and write understandable code
  • Clean and refactor code when needed. Pinpoint systems that would need to be reworked and suggest a new design for them
  • Support our well-balanced and efficient team to achieve ambitious goals
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to create cohesive and engaging game experiences
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to integrate new features and improve existing ones

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in game development
  • Be a true game maker, have a sense of game feel, and be passionate about making games
  • Solid understanding of mobile gaming, game mechanics, gameplay, UI, and UX
  • Proficiency in Unity
  • Have experience in game programming patterns (MVC, State Machine, Command, …)
  • Ability to write robust, clean, and maintainable code
  • Flexible, autonomous, proactive, and accountable for their tasks
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach
  • Advanced level of English

Nice to have:

  • Strong interest in using AI tools in daily work to boost productivity and code quality
  • hands-on experience is a plus
  • Having experience or interest in creating generic modules
  • Previous experience working on a mobile game that scaled
