Galvanizing Operative

• General handling of steel products
• Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process
• Operation of overhead crane equipment
• Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting
• Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment

• Positive people with a can-do attitude
• Someone who enjoys working in a manual environment where heavy lifting is part of the daily activities
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or galvanizing environment would be desirable but is not essential
