Job Description:

David Zwirner is seeking a Gallery Intern to support the Los Angeles team. Interns should be curious with a willingness to learn, as well as highly personable, motivated, and responsible, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate will work closely with and learn from all gallery departments, including front-of-house, sales, registration, marketing/press, and operations. This position requires professionalism, curiosity, flexibility, and dedication.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with the Gallery’s front-of-house team
  • Greet visitors with professionalism and warmth
  • Assist when necessary with fielding and directing incoming phone calls
  • Assist with the maintenance of general office and kitchen supply inventories
  • Assist with the shipping, receiving, and distribution of mail and packages
  • Ensure the pristine appearance of work stations
  • Support gallery openings and events
  • Work with the Gallery’s sales team
  • Prepare and update printed materials throughout the gallery
  • Upon request, assist with data entry and data review projects
  • Upon request, assist with the assembly of materials for exhibitions
  • Events support
  • Assist with tasks related to on-site events, both public and private as well as exhibition openings
  • Special projects as requested

Requirements:

  • An interest in contemporary art and the gallery’s program
