Job Description:

The Securities & Derivatives Sr Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to process orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communication between clients and internal global teams to deliver solutions for complex trade allocation behaviors
  • Analyze manual touch points to identify automated solutions within the trade clearing and booking flows
  • Management of the department covering client derivatives post execution trade support and exchange clearing
  • Work closely with clients and internal partners to produce requirements focused on developing solutions that support continuous change management and business growth
  • Extensive contributions to the design and implementation of global strategies and initiatives focused on operational process improvements and control management
  • Close collaboration with the global management teams on daily production output monitoring, issue detection, troubleshooting, and corrective action planning
  • Responsible for identification and evaluation of operational risk events and management of remediation efforts
  • Design and lead staff development initiatives to ensure continuous training progress is meeting management expectations and enabling career growth
  • Articulate various service levels and internal workflows via detailed presentations to global business partners and management teams
  • Meet with staff regularly to evaluate and communicate performance feedback, opportunities, and growth potential
  • Manage various client experience initiatives and projects from design to implementation ensuring successful launches
  • Build strong relationships with global trading desks and client executives through close communication on risk indicators, trends, and client behavior
  • Monitor the team's production level consistently to ensure that responsibilities and workload is balanced and accurately being met as expected
  • Establish a high level of understanding the operational infrastructure and global product offering

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Required licensing/registration: Series 9
  • People management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
