Job Description:

Interns at Realta Fusion will contribute to one of several exciting areas of work: Experimental Research; Theory and Modeling Research; Engineering and Design; Other Exceptional Candidates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the construction, installation, and operation of Realta contracted projects on the Wisconsin High-temperature superconducting Axisymmetric Mirror (WHAM) experiment
  • Work with the RealTwin suite of modeling tools, focused on the development of a digital twin of the WHAM experiment
  • Utilize and contribute to advanced modeling codes, including VPIC, WarpX, Gkeyll, CQL3D, and other high-performance computing tools
  • Assist with Multiphysics simulations, radiation transport and activation studies, MHD studies of flowing liquid metals, and more

Requirements:

  • Ability to work on-site at either the Realta Fusion office (Madison, WI) or the Physical Sciences Laboratory (near Stoughton, WI)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Approximately two years away from entering the workforce (e.g., rising junior or equivalent academic standing)
  • Demonstrated strong work habits and a commitment to safety
