Interns at Realta Fusion will contribute to one of several exciting areas of work: Experimental Research; Theory and Modeling Research; Engineering and Design; Other Exceptional Candidates.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with the construction, installation, and operation of Realta contracted projects on the Wisconsin High-temperature superconducting Axisymmetric Mirror (WHAM) experiment
Work with the RealTwin suite of modeling tools, focused on the development of a digital twin of the WHAM experiment
Utilize and contribute to advanced modeling codes, including VPIC, WarpX, Gkeyll, CQL3D, and other high-performance computing tools
Assist with Multiphysics simulations, radiation transport and activation studies, MHD studies of flowing liquid metals, and more
Requirements:
Ability to work on-site at either the Realta Fusion office (Madison, WI) or the Physical Sciences Laboratory (near Stoughton, WI)
Authorized to work in the United States
Approximately two years away from entering the workforce (e.g., rising junior or equivalent academic standing)
Demonstrated strong work habits and a commitment to safety
