The Restorer/Repair Specialist will play an essential role in restoring and repairing various items, bringing them back to their original condition or as close to it as possible. This is a position for someone with a deep appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and the intricate details that make each item unique.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build or assemble the wooden or metal frames for furniture pieces, ensuring they are structurally sound, sturdy, and properly sized
  • Interpret and work from design plans, blueprints, or specifications to construct frames that meet exact dimensions, style, and design requirements
  • Choose appropriate materials for frame construction, considering factors such as the type of furniture, load-bearing requirements, and design preferences
  • Cut, shape, and join frame components using woodworking tools, such as saws, drills, and routers, Ensure precise cuts and angles
  • Inspect frames for quality, checking for defects, alignment issues, or structural weaknesses
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets while optimizing material usage to minimize waste and reduce production costs
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to operate machines and tools safely and prevent workplace accidents
  • Restore and repair various items, bringing them back to their original condition or as close to it as possible
