Job Description:

Join our crew to deliver, install, and assemble office furniture at a variety of encompas’ customer locations, including office panel systems, chairs, tables, and other freestanding furniture. Installation Techs are responsible for timely and quality workmanship within a customer-service-driven atmosphere. Installers must be able to communicate professionally with customers, inform them of progress, build trust and confidence, resolve issues, and enhance the overall experience they have with the company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review projects with lead installer
  • Drive, unload, load, assemble, and install furniture per Project Manager’s plans
  • Inventory product
  • Receive shipments
  • Travel to customer locations to perform repairs, replace parts, and other related tasks
  • Comply with safety regulations and company policies during installations
  • Communicate and collaboratively resolve issues that arise on site with Project Leads + Project Managers.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Driver’s license, Class E Commercial License is a plus
  • 0-5 Years experience in furniture installation or a similar role
  • Punctuality
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with respect to client’s work environment
  • Mechanical/Carpentry abilities, knowledge of furniture assembly, and/or use of tools are all a plus
  • Ability to keep track of multiple aspects of various projects with focus and accuracy
  • Good math skills for field measurements and verifications
  • Maturity to work unsupervised and establish priorities
  • Good at following verbal and written instructions, responding to management direction, taking responsibility, and willing to ask questions
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, look for ways to improve and promote quality, apply feedback to improve performance, monitor your own work to ensure quality
  • Proficiency in using installation tools and technology.

Nice to have:

  • Mechanical/Carpentry abilities, knowledge of furniture assembly, and/or use of tools are all a plus
  • Class E Commercial License is a plus
