This role is responsible for coordinating workers, maintaining production schedules, ensuring safety standards, resolving work issues, and improving productivity and product quality.
Job Responsibility
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of furniture and fixture manufacturing workers
Prepare and submit production reports and maintain records related to work progress, quality, and operations
Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Train or arrange training for workers to ensure proper production methods, safety procedures, and quality standards are followed
Oversee the safe operation of equipment, machines, and production areas
Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies required for daily manufacturing operations
Set up machines and equipment as needed to support production requirements
Recommend personnel actions and support the supervisor or management team in improving workflow and team performance
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
Requirements
Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Work: 5 years
Ability to commute/relocate: Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
