About DADO Established in 2008, the Disaster and Development organization (DADO) is an independent, non-profit Organization that specializes in policy analysis, action research and project implementation for disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, public health, business continuity management and sustainable development at local, national, regional and global levels. Aims The DADO aims to foster an inclusive and resilient society by strengthening the capacity of individuals, professionals and communities living in high-risk areas to cope better with disasters and advance sustainable development in Bangladesh and beyond. Approximately 97% of the total land area and 97.7% of the total population are at risk from multiple hazards. Since 2008 we reached over 1.1 million disadvantaged population in Bangladesh. Position (Remote) This position will be remotely based, as a fundraising volunteer with a Fixed Term Contract of one year, renewable for longer term based on both performance and mutual agreement. The position is open to candidates from any countries.
Job Responsibility:
Tax-Efficient Individual Giving: Identify and engage high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists to facilitate strategic donations that leverage income tax benefits and charitable incentives in Europe
Community & Diaspora Engagement: Build and sustain relationships with diaspora groups and social organizations to align their philanthropic interests with sustainable development priorities
Multi-Sector Collaboration: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships across philanthropic foundations, civil society organizations, NGOs, INGOs, and the private sector to enhance resource mobilization and program impact
Strategic Grant Monitoring: Proactively track regional and global funding landscapes to identify research, development, and philanthropic grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals
Capacity Building & Leadership: Lead training and capacity-building initiatives targeting students, youth, and professionals to strengthen skills, resilience, and community self-reliance
Grant Proposal Development: Lead the full cycle of grant proposal development, including conceptualization, technical writing, budgeting inputs, and submission for competitive global funding opportunities
Requirements:
Must be citizen or permanent resident or visa holder
Mission-Driven Motivation: A strong desire to build a career in the international development sector and a passion for sustainable global impact
Communication Skills: Exceptional command of written and spoken English, with the ability to articulate complex project goals to diverse stakeholders
Fundraising Track Record: Prior experience in fundraising, grant writing, or donor relations is highly advantageous
Goal Orientation: A demonstrated commitment to meeting ambitious fundraising targets and organizational milestones
Operational Autonomy: As this is a volunteer position, candidates must be financially self-sufficient and able to cover their own personal and operational expenses while pursuing grant targets
Remote Flexibility: This role is performed entirely remotely, requiring strong self-discipline and the ability to work effectively across different time zones
