Job Description:

Help create meaningful change — one supporter, one story, one donation at a time. At Aruma, we believe everyone deserves a great life — the life they want, the life they choose. As a leading Australian for‑purpose organisation, we support more than 5,000 people with disability and complex needs across Eastern Australia to live inclusive, self‑determined lives. We’re in an exciting phase of growth and transformation and are looking for a detail‑driven, people‑focused Fundraising Officer to play a vital role behind the scenes — strengthening relationships with the supporters who make our mission possible. Permanent part‑time | 3 days per week. Location: Chatswood (primarily remote with some in-office requirements). Why this role matters: Every donation represents trust, generosity and belief in our purpose. As our Fundraising Officer, you’ll be the operational heartbeat of our fundraising function — ensuring supporters feel genuinely valued, data is accurate, campaigns land smoothly and compliance is rock‑solid. Your work will directly enable choice, inclusion and quality services for people with disability — making a real difference every day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing timely and accurate donor acknowledgements, receipts and thank-you communications
  • Responding warmly and professionally to donor enquiries across phone, email and online channels
  • Maintaining high-quality CRM data, processing donations across multiple channels and producing reliable reports
  • Supporting fundraising campaigns, appeals, newsletters and digital communications
  • Managing fundraising compliance, licences and privacy obligations across Australia
  • Coordinating bequests and estate gifts, working respectfully with lawyers, executors and donor families
  • Providing general administration and basic finance support in collaboration with Finance and Communications

Requirements:

  • Experience in administration, customer service or fundraising support
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in getting things right
  • A friendly, confident communication style and genuine care for people
  • Comfort using CRM systems, spreadsheets and digital tools
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Alignment with Aruma's BRAVE values: Bold | Respectful | Accountable | Value Teamwork | Excellent
  • Experience in the disability or not-for-profit sector is welcome — but not essential.

Nice to have:
