Job Description:

Fundraising and Communications Assistant – Temp (3 months). A healthcare membership organisation and trade union is looking for an experienced Fundraising & Communications Assistant to support their Charity Foundation Fundraiisng team. This role starts ASAP for an initial 3 months. The purpose of Fundraising & Communications Assistant will be to provide comprehensive and effective administration support to the Foundation fundraising and communications team, helping to raise funds and awareness that enables and supports the work of the charity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be the first point of contact for all fundraising and communications enquiries, including those received by telephone calls and emails
  • Keep an overview of Foundation merchandise and materials
  • Collation and sending of information to potential and current supporters and advising on queries relating to fundraising
  • Provide dedicated and invaluable database maintenance and administrative support
  • Process fundraising donations with accuracy and within agreed timelines
  • Support fundraising through research and the preparation and analysis of data and reports
  • Support the organisation, planning, promotion, and delivery of fundraising, profile-raising, stewardship and other events

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within a charity setting
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer experience
  • Experience of working with volunteers and/or senior staff
  • Experience of using different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Experience of using a CRM system
  • Experience of working as part of a team and offering assistance as required
