Are you a Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of technical innovation, external partnerships, and commercial strategy? On behalf of GomSpace, Randstad is looking for a profile to lead the projects that define the future of space technology. GomSpace is on a mission to make space accessible, affordable, and useful. As the new Funding & RFI Project Manager, you will play a critical dual role in the Product Management department. You will act as the vital bridge between complex technical execution, external consortiums, and new commercial opportunities. You will manage a portfolio of high-impact development projects funded by authorities such as the European Space Agency (ESA) and Innovationsfonden. This is not just about internal management; you will lead international consortiums of universities and industry partners to ensure successful delivery. Parallel to project execution, you will drive the Request for Information (RFI) process. Working closely with Sales and technical specialists, you will coordinate the gathering of complex information to package winning solutions for global customers.
Job Responsibility:
Funding Execution: Lead projects from start to completion, ensuring all technical milestones and reporting requirements are met
Consortium Leadership: Orchestrate collaboration between diverse external partners and GomSpace's internal engineering teams
Financial Oversight: Maintain a perfect overview of project progress, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis
RFI/RFP Management: Drive pre-sales processes (typically 3-8 weeks), coordinating inputs from specialists to meet customer needs
Roadmap Alignment: Ensure funding activities align with GomSpace's technology roadmap to secure long-term learning benefits for the organization
Requirements:
A background in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is a strong advantage, but not a requirement
A minimum of 5 years proven technical project management experience
Experience with funding projects (ESA/EU) and bid/proposal phases is an advantage
Strong financial/reporting flair and fluency in written and verbal English
You are open-minded, proactive, resilient, and structured
You enjoy building the ship while sailing and can turn innovation into concrete deliverables
