We are seeking a Funding and Data Quality Assistant to join our team. In this role you will be part of a small team whose main purpose is to ensure the College meets external data return requirements and to provide accurate and timely funding and performance information and data to managers and staff within the organisation.
Job Responsibility:
To act as a point of contact for information to Curriculum staff and be responsible for the setting up, development and maintenance of the core curriculum data for EBS, ensuring that all new curriculum setup follows the college’s approval process
To build and maintain effective links with other departments across all campuses, e.g. Registry, timetabling, examinations to work with and support area heads to plan and develop curriculum ensuring that any funding implications are addressed/reviewed
To develop an understanding and keep up-to-date with Department for Education (DfE) and Office for Students (OFS) funding methodologies and data requirements and acting upon these as necessary
To have an understanding and working knowledge of qualification Learning Aims, the use of tools such as ‘Find a learning aim’ and other qualification websites, to be able to extract relevant information and provide advice to college staff
To develop an understanding of the Individual Learner Record (ILR) requirements set be external funding agencies to be able to assist with data validation and provide cover for submissions
To use data validation tools such as PDSAT to review data and take actions to assist with the optimisation of funding and data quality
To play a key role in the provision of both ad hoc and regularly produced reports using a range of software including, Excel, Ebs and Strata, to meet internal and external requirements
To assist with the continual review of the systems to ensure development, satisfactory controls and an effective service for the College. Look for opportunities to remove unnecessary and/or Manual processes. To ensure procedural notes are maintained for all key tasks
To develop and update personal professional expertise in the relevant areas. Adhere to and promote the College’s Safeguarding, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, College Values and Health and Safety policies and practices
To undertake any other reasonable associated duties determined by the college
Requirements:
Experience of working with data, including data collection, input, tracking and reporting
Administrative experience in an office environment
Knowledge and experience of using MS365 applications, especially Excel
Experience of working with educational data and funding methodologies
Experience of working with educational software and websites e.g. EBS, Strata, PDSAT, Find a learning aim
Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
