Job Description:

The Fund Services Manager role at HSBC involves ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients, maintaining compliance with regulations, managing client feedback and onboarding processes, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives, among other responsibilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle all feedback/complaints from clients by giving quality of service given to clients and client feedback/complaints and escalate any serious issue to line manager
  • Provide returns/reports to clients and regulators on timely manner
  • Ensure all regulatory reporting is done correctly and all commitments given in the Operating Memorandum (OM) are met
  • Ensure proper document management (KYC Norms) is followed and safe-keeping
  • Ensure compliance with SSV FIM, Local regulations on funds and custodian banks operations, Fund’ charter and OM agreed with the client and the regional support teams with COE and Hong Kong
  • Ensure all staff are aware of both internal and external regulations
  • Keep fully updated and be aware of all compliance policy
  • Actively provide feedback for any operation issue may lead to risks and suggest solutions to protect the bank interest
  • Ensure client queries are responded to on a timely and accurate manner
  • Work closely with the operations teams to maintain a smooth operational workflow and deliver a superior service
  • Manage the client on-boarding process and all activities relate to on boarding
  • Manage the operational expectations of the internal and external customers
  • Periodic governance on the operations handled by GSCs
  • Active involvement in MENA Regional projects
  • Actively contribute to cost saving initiatives both regionally and locally
  • Reporting and other activities including specialized reporting, working with others on interfacing with Compliance, Audit, Risk and Legal, as well as to assist with and help in similar areas of settlements

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Global-Custody, Fund Servicing, Transfer Agency industry and their operations
  • Coordination with various teams for Settlement of capital market instruments trades executed by clients
  • Experience in both Settlements / CA and back office roles
  • Team player with good influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work in a pressurized environment and manage priorities effectively
  • Ability to apply innovative solutions to resolving client demands
  • Excellent communication skills / written documentation
  • Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and prioritization of work tasks
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capabilities
  • University Degree
  • Good stakeholder management and communication
  • 2 years of experience in Global Custody, Fund accounting and / or Sub custody as a Manager with MSS
  • Bilingual – Fluency in English (mandatory) and Arabic (preferable)
