Job Description:

As a Corporate Governance Authority, you will work closely with internal asset management teams and business partners to ensure communications operate effectively and to the highest standards. Working as part of the EMEA Board Governance Team, you will provide global support function to the EBG teams servicing BlackRock’s Alternatives and UCITS fund ranges, as well as Corporate Boards. EBG team members are fundamental to the preparation of board packs and follow ups post board meetings. Excellent communication skills, organisational skills and attention to detail is required. Due to its global reach, EBG Budapest is in prime position to align and ensure consistent practices for all processes. The successful candidate will actively look for differences in processes across the fund ranges, propose the most effective approach and suggests standardization. The ideal candidate will also have ideas on automatization, how to make the transitioned processes more efficient by enhancing any kind of technological solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Understand processes from A-Z and show forward-thinking by raising questions and seeking clarification when needed
  • Meet EBG standards in the timely delivery and presentation standards to the CoSecs
  • Ensure high quality and accurate preparation of board meeting documentation
  • Liaise closely with EBG team members in Budapest and other locations
  • Act as the right hand of the lead Cosecs to ensure efficient and effective flow of information and good communication pre- and post-meetings
  • Manage Buda Associates and analyst’s time
  • Understand urgencies and priorities, and proactively reach out to stakeholders for updates if unclear
  • Ensure accurate and timely support is provided to wider EBG team
  • Assume full responsibility for drafting and maintaining the Budapest Team calendar ensuring it includes all key yearly tasks and deadlines and provide regular update to the EBG leads re adherence to deadlines
  • Proactive and timely communication to CoSec / Management on the status of work, any issues / barriers identified
  • Ownership of projects managed out of Budapest that require coordination of different Buda sub-teams (e.g., Diligent access management, Board Evaluations Process, Master Spreadsheet – Stats reporting)
  • Support the coordination o the daily work of Bud analysts and act as the first point of contact for stakeholders (work allocation, discussing priorities, coordinating teamwork, etc.)
  • Discuss priorities, raise capacity issues, and provide solutions to issues on work allocation

Requirements:

  • Fluent/ high level of English
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in economics / finance, law or administration
  • Experience at a multinational company, especially in financial industry is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 3-6 years of people management / team management experience
  • Ability to work under pressure with flexibility to adapt to shifting time expectations
  • Highly organized and with excellent personal time management
  • Attention to detail and proofing skills are essential
  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong excel skills are an advantage for the automatization purposes
  • KYC / Client onboarding experience is an advantage
  • Familiarity and experience with Blueprint / Diligent Software is an advantage
