A well-established, growth-oriented private investment firm is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting and reporting for its closed-end funds. Job Responsibility:
Own the financial close, reporting, and integrity of private funds
Serve as primary contact for investor reporting, requests, and documentation
Interpret and apply complex partnership agreements and debt agreements
Maintain investor capital accounts, capital calls, distributions, and reporting
Prepare and review carried interest calculations, NAV, and cash flow availability
Oversee monthly close for all non-property fund entities and consolidated results
Review quarterly valuations and understand valuation changes and drivers
Lead preparation of GAAP-compliant fund financial statements
Oversee quarterly and annual compliance reporting
Manage relationships with external fund administrators, driving accuracy and process improvement
Prepare audit and tax PBC workpapers
Document and maintain fund accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Partner closely with asset management, tax, and capital markets teams
Support budgeting and forecasting for fund entities
Proactively identify issues and collaborate with senior leadership on solutions
Manage and develop a Senior Fund Accountant
Act as a key resource and thought partner to the broader fund accounting leadership team
Promote accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the group
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA and/or MBA preferred
4-7+ years of public accounting or private equity fund accounting experience
Real estate fund experience preferred
Public accounting experience a definite plus
