Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join our team as Senior Vice President of Fund Accounting Conversions. In this senior role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the entire fund conversion program, from strategic planning to execution and post-implementation support. The ideal candidate will drive the successful migration of complex investment funds onto our strategic platform, manage a high-performing team, and engage with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for the fund accounting conversion program, owning the end-to-end project lifecycle for large-scale migrations
  • Establish and manage program governance, including defining KPIs, managing budgets, and allocating resources effectively
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of conversion specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Direct the strategy for data migration and oversee the reconciliation of complex fund structures, ensuring data integrity and control
  • Drive the analysis and re-engineering of fund accounting workflows to maximize efficiency and leverage new platform capabilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing clear updates on program status, risks, and issues
  • Manage client relationships at a senior level, ensuring their requirements are understood and expectations are met throughout the conversion
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, ensuring all activities adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Broad experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or financial services operations
  • Proven experience in a leadership role managing large-scale projects and leading teams
  • Extensive, hands-on experience managing complex fund conversions and system migrations is mandatory
  • Deep understanding of various fund structures (e.g., mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity, ETFs) and their accounting requirements
  • Expert knowledge of fund accounting principles, financial instruments, and market practices
  • Strategic understanding of major fund accounting platforms (e.g., Investone, Multifonds, etc)
  • Familiarity with data migration tools, ETL processes, and database concepts
