At our renowned Hotel and event space in Adelaide's North Eastern suburbs, we are seeking a passionate Function Chef to join our culinary team. with dedication to delivering high-quality food for a variety of events.
Job Responsibility:
Menu execution: Prepare and present dishes according to menu specifications for functions and events, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
Kitchen operations: daily kitchen operations for function areas, including mise en place, cooking, and plating
Food quality and safety: Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in accordance with regulations and company policies
Inventory and ordering: Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and ingredients to minimize waste and communicate any discrepancies with the head chef
Team work: Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and efficient workflow
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Function Chef or similar role in a hotel or event setting, with adaptability to new procedures and operational requirements
Attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen hygiene
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced kitchen environment, collaborating with a diverse team
Availability across multiple shifts on a 7-day roster, including evenings and weekends with between 20 - 25 hours available across the week
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Valid National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
Working with Children Check (Or willing to obtain)
