Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Functional Tester to join the IQA team, responsible for in-stream test preparation and execution. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Capital Markets Back Office processes along with hands-on exposure to test automation using Playwright.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform in-stream test preparation, including test scenario identification, test case design, and test data setup
  • Execute functional, integration, and system testing within sprint timelines
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage
  • Identify, log, and track defects through closure with clear reproduction steps. Experience in JIRA.
  • Validate Capital Markets Back Office workflows
  • Contribute to test automation using Playwright for regression and critical flows
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and defect triage meetings
  • Ensure quality gates are met before releases

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in functional testing
  • Strong understanding of STLC, Agile methodology, and defect lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience in Capital Markets Back Office domain
  • Experience in in-stream testing within Agile delivery models
  • Working knowledge of Playwright automation (JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Good understanding of API testing and integration testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation integration
  • Basic understanding of SQL & Unix commands

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with Capital Markets trading or post‑trade systems
  • Exposure to Trafigura / Titan or similar commodity trading platforms
  • Knowledge of end‑to‑end trade lifecycle in Back Office operations
  • Experience with test automation framework design using Playwright
  • Familiarity with performance or non‑functional testing concepts
  • Understanding of data validation across multiple systems
  • Experience working with global or distributed teams
