Functional Skills English Teacher

• Deliver engaging learning in line with the EIF
• Champion the personal development of our learners
• Enrich the curriculum to build cultural capital, promote British Values, develop employability skills for release, and foster a strong culture of reading for pleasure

• Hold a teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
• Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
• Have experience in creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners
• Have previous track record showing achievement of quality targets
• Have successfully produced accurate and timely reports
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Can motivate and enthuse learners
• Have organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets
• Demonstrate positive team working
• Experience of the City & Guilds FS curriculum
• Excellent digital skills, creativity and the ability to bring curiosity and enrichment to every lesson are essential

Experience of Ofsted inspections is desirable but not essential
