We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Wymott, working as a Functional Skills Curriculum Manager. This role is offered on a FTC (12 months), full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.
Requirements:
Hold a teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
Hold a degree or equivalent (including equivalent life / career experience)
Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
To be able to implement continuous quality assurance procedures
Demonstrate a successful partnership working
Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
Have the ability to motivate and enthuse teams
Have excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet challenging deadlines and targets
Must be able to analyse trends and identifying impact on curriculum
Have excellent IT Skills
Nice to have:
Hold a TAQA Internal Verifier Award / V1 or equivalent
Hold a Level 4 or equivalent subject specialism or vocational qualification
Have the ability to develop, lead and manage a team effectively
Have the ability to manage colleagues including the deployment of those staff and appropriate delegation of tasks
Must be able to work within a secure environment
Must be able to work with learners with challenging behaviour
Demonstrate Effective partnership working
