We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Wymott, working as a Functional Skills Curriculum Manager. This role is offered on a FTC (12 months), full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Hold a teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
  • Hold a degree or equivalent (including equivalent life / career experience)
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • To be able to implement continuous quality assurance procedures
  • Demonstrate a successful partnership working
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to motivate and enthuse teams
  • Have excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet challenging deadlines and targets
  • Must be able to analyse trends and identifying impact on curriculum
  • Have excellent IT Skills

Nice to have:

  • Hold a TAQA Internal Verifier Award / V1 or equivalent
  • Hold a Level 4 or equivalent subject specialism or vocational qualification
  • Have the ability to develop, lead and manage a team effectively
  • Have the ability to manage colleagues including the deployment of those staff and appropriate delegation of tasks
