Functional Business Analyst

• Lead end-to-end technical/functional analysis for bugs, enhancements, integrations, and support tickets
• Analyse vendor release notes, assess system impacts, and translate them into actionable requirements
• Capture, document, and translate technical and business requirements into clear specifications (technical designs, functional designs, user journeys) for development and architecture teams
• Facilitate workshops with Business Owners, SMEs, and technical teams, and manage communication across all stakeholders
• Support Agile processes including sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, prioritisation, and provide testing support (UAT planning, test data preparation)

• Extensive experience as a Senior Functional or Technical Analyst in complex enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Proven expertise in Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Process Re-engineering (BPR)
• High-level proficiency in SQL (querying, analysing, and validating data)
• Demonstrated experience with TechnologyOne Student Management and/or Oracle Cloud
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously with strong accountability
• High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts

Experience in the Higher Education sector is highly regarded
