Job Description:

Play a crucial role in the functional and disability assessments process, a service that touches the lives of millions of people in the UK. Work autonomously to assess cases of people applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit or Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of DWP's Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).

Job Responsibility:

Holding telephone, video or in-person consultations with people applying for PIP or WCA
Assessing a variety of complex conditions and impairments
Using strong verbal communication skills and writing high quality, fair and accurate assessment reports using a special IT system
Working with line manager to advance professional development and career

Requirements:

Minimum of 12 months post-registration experience working as an Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Paramedic, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist or Occupational Therapist
Must hold full registration with one of the following professional bodies: Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC)
