Job Description

PermitFlow is redefining how America builds. We’re an applied AI company serving the nation’s builders, tackling one of the largest information challenges in the economy: understanding what can be built, where, and how. Our AI agent workforce helps the fastest-growing construction companies navigate everything from permitting and licensing to inspections and project closeouts – accelerating housing, clean-energy, and infrastructure development across the country.

Job Responsibility

  • Transform complex, manual permitting workflows into seamless, AI-enabled software experiences
  • Design and implement backend and frontend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support AI-driven workflows
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver intelligent, user-facing features
  • Work directly with users to shape product direction and rapidly ship features that drive impact
  • Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to testing and production deployment
  • Help establish engineering best practices and contribute to a culture of technical excellence

Requirements

  • Strong experience in fullstack development, ideally including time at a startup or fast-moving team
  • Comfortable owning features across frontend, backend, and data layers
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres, or ability to learn quickly
  • Track record of shipping production systems and making thoughtful trade-offs for speed, reliability, and scalability
  • Excitement for AI-powered tools that solve real-world construction challenges and a customer-first mindset

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a high-growth company
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Flexible PTO and paid family leave
  • Home office & equipment stipend
  • Hybrid NYC office culture (3 days in-office/week) with direct access to leadership
  • In-Office Lunch & Dinner Provided

  • Build the system that defines what insurance coverage our members get — across Health and Life & Disability (Prévoyance) — with a high level of customization

  • Renewals at scale: turning a high‑stakes, high‑volume moment (renewal season) into a reliable, observable process — less manual work, fewer errors, higher ops autonomy
  • A 'single subscription / contracting stack' across countries: one global system (FR, BE, ES, CA, and upcoming markets like KSA) instead of local exceptions and fragile workarounds
