Job Description:

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for setting technical direction to enable our product and infrastructure to scale with our business, driving complex projects across our technical stack, and mentoring our talented engineering team. Your past experience will be leveraged to enable and accelerate Vanta’s growth. The Cloud, Code, and Security (CCS) is a nascent team within the Automation Organization at Vanta. CCS owns customer-facing outcomes related to how companies use their cloud-related data. We build and operate product surfaces, backend systems, and integrations to enable upmarket and downmarket users to accomplish a wide range of compliance jobs. As a Software Engineer on CCS, you will play a pivotal role in chartering this team, working closely with product and design to bring novel product experiences alive for some of our most discerning customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver on projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant impact to our business
  • Set direction for critical technical surface areas, enabling us to stay ahead of continued rapid growth
  • Design, develop, and own new product functionality and/or infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js)
  • Work with talented and kind engineers to make a significant impact on our customer base, enabling them to improve their security and prove it
  • Contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture as we grow

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working on nascent teams with a knack for helping establish team culture, norms, and processes
  • Experience working as part of an on call rotation, ensuring the customer experience is considered throughout the SDLC
  • Experience (and success!) launching greenfield projects with a constant eye towards rapid iteration
  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
